New Danish brand 101 Copenhagen is carefully curated home accessories for the home with a Scandinavian vibe. The design approach is notably holistic creating a unique and timeless collection influenced by Japan and Southern Europe.
The Japanese feeling comes from designer Kristian Sofus Hansen, who after graduation spent time in Tokyo studying. After an internship at sister company Norr11, Kristian started 101 Copenhagen together with Tommy Hyldahl, founder and partner in Norr11.
101 Copenhagen is a lot of wood and refined textures in a calm and organic combination. I love the subtle color scheme and the somewhat masculine first collection. Some of my favorite pieces is the many different sculptural vases in both ceramics and wood and of course the raw concrete coffee table.
