5 Micro-Interior-Trends That Will Become Mega-Trends

It is definitely not easy to keep up with interior trends and we cannot afford to change out our décor at every season. But lets face it, end of summer means time to make some changes in the house. Paint a wall, change the pillows, do something unexpected though. If you want something not everyone is already doing, but only those über trendy influencers are eyeing and considering right now, allow us to present the eight micro-trends that are already bubbling up for A/W 17 and will be mega trends before you know it.

Dark colored walls
All-white is so over. And if color forecaster Nina Bruun is rolling on some darker colors on her walls, so should you.

Clay Sculptures
You might have noticed Kristiina Haataja‘s scultures already in my post last week about Annalena’s home. The clay heads certainly made it big fast as many bloggers around the world has shown the home too.

Matt terracotta
I have said it before terracotta will be huge. Danish Skagerak has sworn to the dark red clay based ceramic for more than a season now. Swedish Anna Elzer Oscarsson is also showing some very interesting new glazed on her works.

Sculptural hanging tealight holders
Just last week ferm living opened their doors to their new Copenhagen showroom, setup just like a home (that’s kind of also a trend, but just among brands, showing their whole range in a homey setting, but that’s another post I guess). In their new collection they have these very graphic and geometric hanging tealight décor.

Blush Peach
It’s on the cover of the Ikea catalogue for crying out loud. (not to mention, its also all over ferm living’s new catalogue). So in all honesty, it might even be to late for this one. Not everyone can pull of a pink wall though, just like not everyone can pull of a pink pair of pants or shirt.
