I have considered Copenhagen to by my home town all my life, and while my work and personal life brings me around the globe on regular travels, I still enjoy exploring Copenhagen. Every year end of April, as in now, more than 150.000 people venture to the north western part of the city to a cemetery with the most beautiful avenues and a very popular Instagram capture. For the past two weeks Copenhagen have presented itself from its very best side with record warm days – and as that extra bonus the blossoms are finally blooming – shouldn’t we just say that spring has finally hit Copenhagen too!

While most hipster Copenhageners roll their eyes, I still sneak in for an early, sunrise moment to beat the 1000s of people showing up all day long. My matchy matchy outfit might make those hipster eyeroll even more, but when you finally have your very own Insta-husband in town, you take advantage and break out your inner model. I threw on this salmon-hued fleece-back cotton-jersey Acne sweatshirt*, my go to blue J.Crew chinos* (a pair I pretty much have in any color option possible, I live in these pants), and a pair of good old adidas Originals ‘Stan Smith’ sneakers*. I have to say, I would never have thought myself to be the guy to sport a pink jersey, but I kind of like it, and it makes me look a bit more tanned too. Win! The perfect spring outfit for this early blossoming Copenhagen morning if you ask me.
I really do enjoy walking around the city, even more on early mornings where it seems like you are the only one awake. If the weather is good, it doesn’t matter which season, of course it just gets even better if you can end the walk with a nice outdoor breakfast at the local coffee shop. Here’s to early mornings and the new season ahead, guys! Have a great weekend and do let me know if you enjoy posts like these!
