Design Bloggers United Dinner in Amsterdam

The city with its many canals from the 17th century, legendary architecture and picturesque windmills, Amsterdam is one of the few capital cities in the world that still has a kind of village vibe. Just like Copenhagen really. The city’s creative spread is possibly just as alive today as back when Rembrandt, Breitner and Mondrian trod the cobbled streets.

Along with Desiree from Vosgesparis, I had planned a weekend trip for the Design Bloggers United group to Amsterdam. Our scheduled was pretty packed. We stayed at Volkshotel, took long drive with Uber and ate delicious food at Bluespoon. We were all having a small workshop at Meet the Blogger. And we even found time for sightseeing on a canal cruise and visits to the Property Of. But more on all that later.

We started the weekend with a new initiative, which we certainly will continue in the future, a dinner for bloggers, journalists and friends. Thus, we saw them all at Pistache Studio, where we had covered the long table with a great mix of Blue Brittany from Pillivyut. A wonderful mix of blue, white and grey shades created the perfect atmosphere and we sat down around the table on Concrete Seats from Fatboy. In the kitchen the girls from Lady Grey Catering worked hard to provide a gorgeous meal.

Although we easily could have sat there, chatting into the night, several of more bloggers and friends arrived, as we had also invited for a party. So we fired up the Libratone wireless speakers and drank delicious cocktails from V2C Gin, BOS Ice Tea and Beer & Co.
