London Fog Almond Milk Tea Latte



My mornings are (almost) always the same. I sleepwalk to the coffeemaker, slamming three or more gigantic cups of coffee down my throat, my heart starts pumping, sometimes to a point where I am afraid it might cause a heart fail. (Sarcasm may occur!). However, I do love it, when the coffee kicks in and I realize what an adorable badass I am going to have.

Honestly, I do not think I will be able to cut away the coffee in the morning. I simply love it to much. However, what I can do is cut away the afternoon coffee and replace it with tea. Frankly, I am not a huge tea fan, so it really needs to be something else than just regular boring whatever tea. I have found that Earl Grey Tea still has a bit of caffeine, not as much as coffee, which should get me going throughout the day, but EGT is really not my favourite on its own, so I have been experimenting a bit with a tea latte version called London Fog. A tea latte infused with lavender and made with unsweetened (V IMPORTANT) almond milk. Give it a try. I used the To Go Click cup from Stelton, which is perfect if you want to bring your cup with you.

You need:

1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 teaspoon loose earl grey tea
½ teaspoon dried lavender blossoms
1 teaspoon rose water
How to:

Place the loose tea and lavender in a metal mesh tea ball and set aside. Bring almond milk to a boil. Pour almond milk into a mug or the To Go Click cup and add the tea ball.  Let steep for 4-5 minutes before removing. Stir in the rose water (you can add sugar if you really want it super sweet), serve while hot! Delics.
