One of the reasons why I just love going to Milan for the design week is because of the chances of you meeting some of your favourite International bloggers are super high. Ever since blogging I have been following the work of very talented Costas Voyatzis better know as the mastermind behind Yatzer. And this year, I finally met him, at a dinner party thrown by Foscarini (which also collaborated with Yatzer on a limited edition black matt finished version of the Binic Table lamp by Ionna Vautrin, first launched in 2010).
Yatzer has been around for 10 years, which was celebrated by a pop-up store ‘10 by Yatzer’. The venue, atmosphere and mood of the limited-edition items that were created exclusively for the first ‘10 by Yatzer’ collection by 10 talented designers, all of which were handpicked by Yatzer’s founder. All customized in a restricted palette of black, white and gold or a combination of the three colors, thus bearing Yatzer’s “touch” and distinctive identity.
The striking scenography of the 10 by Yatzer pop-up shop was just perfect with the black marble wallpaper as a backdrop.
Favourite piece: The stunning, “magic carpet” by CC-Tapis. Only made in 10 editions.
