Visiting: The family in Manhattan

The apartment is situated in the shadows of the Empire Sate Building in Manhattan and is the home of mom, dad and their two children. You can say it is a combination of rational architecture, 50-ies classical American furniture and extraordinary views over the city.

Although the décor have a big imprint from the 50s, I think that they have managed to reconcile the past with the present really nice – with the streamlined kitchen, large glass sliding doors, not to forget the shower.

Also note the design of the children’s room entirely in pink, both with Marimekko blinds and Arne Jacobsen chair.
