Last week I drove, what is a dream car for most boys, the Porsche 911 Carrera S. 1… 2… 3… point 9 seconds is what it takes the new 911 Carrera S to reach 100 kilometres an hour, it is extremely fast and very powerful. Just the sound when you start the engine is out of this world.
I took the new 2017-updated version, yet very classic car, which has been true to its concept since the first model launch in 1963, for a two-day spin. In my book, it is one of the most beautiful cars ever made and driving it was no disappointment.
The engine, even though I really don’t know much about cars, is something else. I drove the S version, which gives you 420 Hp, meaning that no one can keep up with you, especially when you turn it into Sport Response mode, maximal power for 20 seconds, extremely effective when you want to overtake some old lady driving super slow or when you want to leave someone in the dust, who thinks he has a faster car than you.
The new 911 is packed with gadgets, like the 7” touch screen with navigation via Google Earth, streaming from Spotify and whatnot. Another very nice feature is the all new post-collision braking system. A system that automatically activates and helps the driver to a full stop in a crash.
If you want to get the full Porsche Sport Driving Experience, you should keep a close eye on the events at Porsche’s site. From time to time they arrange cool events, where you will experience the most extreme car ride of your life on closed driving grounds.
