Rethinking Your Furniture

Before I am going all Christmas crazy, I want to share a little thought with you. Christmas should be a loving and memorable time. So why not think Christmas gifts that last.. just like memories. I was sitting in my little corner, which unfortunately I very rarely do, but I wanted to “break-in” the little side table called STAY from Montana, and I thought to myself… This piece is a lasting piece to which memories are attached. Like when I had Stay in my bedroom a year ago packed with all the books I read before I go to sleep. Good old classic furniture, that last, you can restyle it – you can move it from room to room and from person to person in your household.

Imagine the amount of money we spend during Christmas. A lot. And Danes even spent almost 18% more last year celebrating the Holiday than the year before.

So what I try to argue is that spend the money on lasting gifts like my STAY or other nice interiors, trips and the good life in general.

Take a step back and think: Lasting memories, lasting interior design.

I know Thanksgiving need to be celebrated first this week, before Christmas is taking over, but here in Denmark, Thanksgiving is not a thing. So excuse me for starting Christmas tomorrow.

Very inspiring and timely post. I’ve just done the same with a few pieces of my furniture and it makes all the difference! Also, inspired by those cosy house slippers/boots beside your Montana bedside table.
