I was fortunate to be invited to visit Kähler’s Dining Salon last time I was in Aarhus. It is decorated quite nice and delicious, it was a wonderful contrast to get away from the snow and the cold and into the dining room where there was fire in the fireplace and you could sit down in lambskin. The service was not at least as warm and inviting.

The Dining salon uses a system of having a few large tables instead of several small, which lead to a feeling of communion with the other restaurant guests. The decor and serving was of course recording to Kähler latest range of products, it seemed very inspiring to see the products you know from store shelves, be used and put together in different ways. They have also done a good job of complimenting Kähler with products from others. If the Kähler shop, located further down the same street, had been open on that Saturday evening I had perhaps been tempted and inspired to buy something home with me.
For starters we ordered a Kählerfad, with plenty of tasty delights of tapas spirit, a plate was enough to almost feed two persons. The main course was chosen after Kähler “light and delicious” menu, I got a Quinoasalat and my company got a Beetroot Soup. These courts, however, were unfortunately not quite the same great hit as the starter. The beetroot soup was too strong to our taste, and the salad had big grains of salt we thought did not suit with the court.
However, I end up with recommending the restaurant. Kähler Dining Salon is a different and pleasant showroom where the emphasis is on a nice atmosphere and the display of Kähler products.
