Ugens ting: Sort of Coal

Item of the Week: Sort of Coal

In the past week I have cleaned my drinking water at home with a white coal. I got the bottle, Mizu, and a stick of white coal and really thought – really?! I’m anything but the spiritual type, which I would immediately think coal appeals to (okay, call me Mr. Prejudice!), but tried, it was! After a day in the refrigerator my tap water should have been converted into mineral water by releasing minerals, such as potassium and magnesium into the water at the same time as adsorbing chlorine (by up to 75%), softening it and improving its taste. Does it work? A quick taste test up against an ordinary bottle of cold tap water, I could really taste the difference – it actually tastes more pure.

The bottle with a coal stick is 40 EUR via Sort of Coal.
