Los Angeles is fast becoming a true mecca for amazing design, and it is not only New York who can flaunt side-by-side designer showrooms. It is only a matter of knowing where to go, as many of them are hidden behind anonymous doors. In a former warehouse located in the heart of the Hollywood design district, an area which has been quite overlooked in the past, Apparatus occupies a 5,000-sqaure-feet (465 sqm), alongside Ralph Pucci, and the art gallery Regen Projects.
As expected, the Apparatus founders Gabriel Hendifar and Jeremy Anderson, does nothing by half measures – the new LA showroom is truly a true design heaven. By the second you are buzzed through the glass doors you are immediately grasped by the beauty, quality, originality, and a pretty consistent dose of pure magic.
The clerestory roof and multiple archways brings in a lot of natural light, while casting seductive shadows showcasing the company’s lighting and furniture to perfection – and certainly making it LA’s new must-see design store.
Needless to say, my wish list just became a whole lot longer. Do you have you eye on one specific piece or do you just want it all?
