A Simple Midcentury Living Room update with Rosborg Shop

If you have been following along on Instagram and here lately, you would know that a lot of new furniture pieces have moved in and that I have been rearranging quite a bit. It is mainly my living room that got the big makeover. I added a new coffee table and a new lamp that both have been on my wish list for year.

I teamed up with one of my favorite online stores Rosborg Shop, who is the go to, when it comes to all the classic iconic designs that we all love.

I decided to finally get the George Nelson bench, but just use it as a coffee table for now, as it is not super wide, it fits perfectly between my vintage 70ies leather couch and my two Oslo chairs from Muuto. I previously had an old, black marble quite wide table, a former dining table that I converted into a coffee table when I moved a few years back, but with time, it just got ugly on the surface. So the bench was essential to my new living room.

I have a slight tendency to collect. It really wouldn’t surprise one bit, if I someday end up on some TV show of extreme hoarders. So of course I had to add a few new pieces to the bench, it would look pretty bare without anything displayed right? Two pieces from AYTM, the graphic glass flower vase and the striped vase, and the wooden tray from Danish Ro somehow also ended up in the basket.

On the Menu shelving unit, I finally manned up and got the Taccia lamp. My biggest splurge, great design really doesn’t come cheap. I just love how the lamp, designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1962, provides a perfect warm and indirect light. Also on the shelf, I added the blue grading, very heavy glass vase from Ro, even without flowers its almost a piece of art.

Last but now least, I’m really digging five arm candelabra, which I am sure will be a very nice add-on in the corner for those long and very dark winter months just ahead. Nothing says hygge more then lit candles. The more the merrier.

So it is as simple as that, two new mayor purchases is really pulling the living room together and just with a few more accessories, I feel like the room really captures my personality right now. Up until now, I haven’t really spent any time whatsoever in the living room, but now I might just have to move into this room.
