Today I am going to bring you to Los Angeles, just because I miss it all so much and because of this stunning home of the owner of Galerie Provenance, a design gallery specializing in bringing vintage furniture from Europe to the US. Sheila Bouttier certainly has a great eye for the vintage pieces and have created a home full of them. She lives with her husband and their two kids surrounded by midcentury gems and a lot of great art.
One of my favorite elements of the Bouttier home is the living room with the curvy couch and armchair paired with two of the now iconic Pierre Jeanneret Easy chair. One wall in the living room is also a perfect example of how to create a gallery wall – a wall featuring a mix of artworks by Benjamin Abramowitz.
Sheila is the granddaughter of the late American artist Benjamin Abramowitz, so an interest in art is most certainly running in her blood. With her mother she now also manages Abramowitz’s estate and many of his pieces can be seen at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
