A Swedish Home with a Stunning Dining Area

It’s Friday – yay! Quickest week ever. Home from a week in Stockholm and away to London tomorrow. Just for a weekend getaway. I was actually hoping to have a quiet day at home, but with only one day home this week, the to-do list called my name – LOUDLY!

Anyway. I am trying to embrace a brighter interior, as I am hoping, that will encourage spring to arrive sooner. And after visiting Stockholm, I thought, why not dedicate today to Sweden. So just stepping in to share a smaller 70 square meters (750 square feet) apartment located in Gothenburg and full of great light, so even the plain white kitchen looks pretty amazing.

I am always in awe of people who can maintain and stick to a strict color palette, unlike messy me, here the white walls just seem perfect with all the greys, blacks and brows, with a few hints of bright colors here and there.

Did I mention the apartment is up for grabs? Could you imagine living here?

Even though I am not a fan of those white fronts in the kitchen, and even worse, those handles, my favorite room is actually the kitchen with the grand white marble top dining table. It looks so stunning in front of the simple gallery wall and with those vintage Ant chairs by Arne Jacobsen around it.

I have to admit I do love Sweden, and I am looking forward to visiting Stockholm again very soon (actually, I’ll be checking into my top 3 bucket list hotel. I cannot wait!), but 4 days with extreme cold and walking around of inches of ice made me long for grey Copenhagen – and even more, sunny Los Angeles.

Enjoy the weekend – I’ll be back tomorrow with a highlight video from last week’s visit to Formland fair.

I love how light everything is! And the combination of natural wood colors combined with the white. Stunning work!
