Adding Sculptural 50s Design to My Office

The room in my apartment that see the most changes is my office. I spent the majority of my time here in front of my computer. I have tested many different directions of my desk, for now this seems best. More importantly I have added a new chair to my setup; a new beautifully sculptured Gesture chair, designed in the 1950s, designed by the acclaimed Danish architect, Hans Olsen.

For the updated reader, the chair is back in production by new Danish brand, Warm Nordic, which I already gave you heads up about in January. Now they are ready to ship their many (and by many, I mean, MAAAANY, as in more than 100 new pieces. That’s a lot of products for a whole new brand if you were wondering) great designs, including the Gesture Chair.

The chair is in fact a dining chair, but I find it just as perfect for the office. As a tribute to the 1950s’ adoration of color, the Gesture chair is available in an abundance of stunning colors in three versions: fully upholstered; with upholstery on the seat; or a unique type of wood – depending on the look you after. Choose from high quality leather or several different exclusive fabrics in the most beautiful colors from the Warm Nordic universe. The frame is available in several exclusive types of wood and a variety of surface treatments. I went for the black lacquered solid beech with an upholstered seat in the sea blue Kvadrat textile version.

For now, Warm Nordic ships to the majority of European counties. I am sure there is something from their massive collection you’ll fall in love with too.

Paid partnership with Warm Nordic. Thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. Thanks for supporting collaborations that I am excited about and that have kept Bungalow5’s doors open.
