Phew. What. A. Week. What was your first waking thought today? Did you sit up against a mountain of pillows wondering what you might wear on a conference call? Did you reach for your phone to check whether you can fly to see your loved once across the boarder? Or perhaps you simply just pulled the duvet back up above your head as you pondered whether it’s ever going to be safe to venture out in a world in the grip of a virus followed by racial injustice? It almost seems irrelevant, but maybe one of my obsessions can make you stop for a mere minute, inspire you, while just enjoying my favorite spaces, products and my new playlist.
Today, I found a stunning townhouse, just outside Stockholm, packed with great Scandinavian design and lavish materials. This week I am not sharing any new products, but found a bunch of great shoppable ceramics, posters, trays and curtains. Along with a New York City-based lighting brand with the most dreamy lamps.
As always, hit play on that new Bungalow5 Weekly Playlist and scroll down for everything fabulous. Have fun!
Stylish Four-Story Townhouse
In this exclusive and climate-smart four-story townhouse Scandinavian stylish design and lavish materials meet. The townhouse has impressive window sections and high ceilings which adds to the feeling of space.
And just wait till you see the most amazing curvy roofed balcony.
The townhouse, just outside Stockholm, is for sale via Fantastic Frank.
The iconic Ögon Cacao one eye poster was designed by the well-known Swedish illustrator Olle Eksell in 1956. The famous eyes of cacao was part of Sweden’s first design program that Olle designed for the company Mazetti. Since then, the poster has become a real design classic.
Lavish Handmade Handles
Although Lalese, owner of Lolly Lolly Ceramics, have seen a huge demand for unique handle mugs (very understandable) lately, I just needed to share. Subscribe to their newsletter to stay in the loop for new releases.
Goodee is for the conscious-minded consumer. You’ll find an inspiring array of goods made with intention, quality, and care by purposeful companies. I can’t even handle how great this kids chair is or how freaking cool this tray is. You’ll also find a great deal of Scandi bands.
Make It with Curtains
Lately, curtains have received some much needed attention. Curtains should just give your interior the final touch without overtaking the room. Swedish textile brand Kinnasand illustrates this so very well with their new campaign shot by Anders Schønnemand.
Little Black Lamp
Just this week I discovered New York City–based brand In Common With. I’m really intrigued by their collections, especially their Seneca Orb table lamp is a dream, but also on the pricey side. However, their spot series are very well-priced and perfect for the long hall or as bedside lamps.
