It finally feels a bit like we are moving toward a new normal daily routine here in Denmark. My inbox is again starting to fill up, I am out for meetings again and I have received the first invites to events. I also see friends around the world out and about again. It makes me less anxious about the future, corona wise of course. The last few weeks I’ve spent every free minute on educating myself further on matters of racism and white privilege, something I am clearly (and shamefully) not aware about, not enough at least. I have listened to podcasts, watched many movies and documentaries on Netflix and just started Ibram X. Kendi’s award winning history book Stamped from the beginning, which seems like a good way to start learning. I really look forward to learning more. As always, my obsessions is a way to stop a mere minute, inspire you, while just enjoying my favorite spaces, products and my new playlist.
Today, is mostly about new super cool very shoppable products; new prints by Kinfolk, a new anniversary lamp and a stunning rug collection. Along with the re-opening of one of my favorite Copenhagen spots and links to great fashion sales for both men and women.
As always, hit play on that new Bungalow5 Weekly Playlist and scroll down for everything fabulous. Have fun!
The Kinfolk Print Collection
ALIUM a Copenhagen-based gallery, introduce the Kinfolk Print Collection: An edit of ten images from the magazine selected by the Kinfolk team. It is a great selection of different styles and great diversity. The intimacy between the two men in “Things Fall Apart” is just perfection.
Summer Dinner in Copenhagen
One of my favorite spots in Copenhagen, the Audo has officially re-opened! Together with Restaurant Lola they welcome everyone back for the summer with a fresh breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. The Audo’s sunny courtyard is the perfect spot for an al fresco lunch – and if you bring a towel you can jump in the harbour afterwards to cool down.
Celebrating 15 year anniversary
Two new products caught my eye this week. First up is a special edition of Tom Rossau‘s TR5 lamp in celebration of his 15 year anniversary making stunning lamps. I visited Tom in his workshop a few months ago getting a hands-on behind the scenes experience.
As rugged as minimalist
And then there is Nordic Knots new Jute collection. All-natural plant fibers in a modern rustic design. Equally as rugged as minimalist. Available in three different patterns with the cross one being my favorite. I am a huge fan of jute rugs, as they are extremely tough and durable with a texture that ages beautifully.
Summer Fashion Sales
Just for a mere minute, we have to talk about the great sales on Mr. Porter* and My Theresa* – up to 50% OFF. It is time to get those quality summer outfits ordered. I went for this Smiley Logo-Appliquéd Button-Down* and this Helmut Lang sweat*.
