I have been blogging for more than 9 years now. Being brutally honest, it is exhausting. And I have battled on and off many times whether I love it or not, even times where I have felt like I just wanted to throw in the towel and let it all be history. It is definitely frustrated, because I really do not want to give up blogging, I really do love it. Nothing about blogging back in 2010 when this adventure all started is like blogging today. Everything is a lot more work.
I have been a firm believer that I had to post as much as even possible. For the past two or three years my new year’s resolutions have been: blog more, make at least 4 posts a week. While I need some sort of schedule, what works best for me right now, is just to blog when I feel like it.
In today’s world, where work and leisure are floating together more and more, not only for me, but for so many entrepreneurs, taking time off is also a constant battle. We, Mr. LA and I, both being our own boss, talk about making sure to put work away almost on a daily basis. Leaving the phone at home for our daily walks or turn it off when we sit down for dinner is something we battle with indeed.
I want to feel more connected with you guys, the readers. I want more engagement. But at the same time, I also want to make sure to take time off. It’s almost a catch 22 right. Staying connected and engaging more, means I have to be online more, I guess. The really funny thing is, I also find myself coming up with way more new ideas, when I do take time off. So, I think for now, I’ll try to be little more casual about posting, not making everything so scheduled.
How are you dealing with ups and downs in your working life?
