Best of Bungalow5 2019!

In just a few days 2019 is long gone and it is time to look ahead for another year. It’s been yet another great year on a personal level and for another year I got to do what I love the most, write about interior design. Before we all sit back to take a break for the holidays, I wanted to wrap up the year in a best of posts here and from Instagram.

Best of blog posts 2019:

There is no doubt that you all love my weekly obsessions, as they all rate very high on the charts, but you are of course mostly here for the inspirational homes I share throughout, which is also pretty clear from the top 5 posts of the year.

5. A Swedish Home with a Stunning Dining Area

Straight after spending a week in Stockholm for the furniture fair in February, I shared this really bright and stunning Swedish home, which you all really loved. My favorite was that dining area in the kitchen.

4. Home Tour with Vibeke and Jesper Panduro in Aalborg

One of my goals this year was to start visiting esquisit homes myself, my goal was to shoot and share 12 unique homes with you guys, which I did. In April I visited the owners of one of my favorite Danish brands, Skagerak. Such an amazing home which you all really like too. Revisit the full tour here.

3. Home Tour with Jessie Webster in Silver Lake, Los Angeles

I was so happy to finally get to share my friend Jessie’s Silver Lake home with you also. Jessie transformed the house into a perfect Scandi meets LA home. Most read home tour of the year. Check out the full tour here.

2. Turn Your Balcony into a Summer Sanctury

I didn’t do as many sponsored posts this year, but I did spend much more time creating better content on the ones I did. And it seemed like you are living for it. Many of my sponsored posts has done extremely well, and the one where I transformed my balcony into a perfect summer sanctuary did the best.

1. The End of All White Kitchens

You all love kitchen and together we have all turned our backs on those white ones. Early this year I asked you about your dream color kitchen on Instagram and literally no one said white. Later this year I also started sharing a kitchen of the week, which I am sure I’ll continue in 2020, because you love it!

5. Norr11’s

First of two showrooms to make it to the top 5 list this year. As we are planning a makeover of our Big Bear cabin we have been looking to furnish it with a bunch of Norr11’s stunning pieces.

4. Dinesen’s bright wooden Copenhagen showroom

It is actually not the first time Dinesens showroom gets your attention in my feed. I few years ago when they first opened, I had a similar photo, which also got a lot of likes. So thank you.

3. Tim’s green Swan bedroom

This one was actually a surprise. Colorful interior is not something you normally respond very well too, you like your beige, whites and grays, however you were quite obsessed with Tims green Swan wallpapered bedroom.

2. The Audo lobby

There is just something about those hotel lobbies. I am so happy I went back to reshoot it a few days after the opening. If you stick around the blog next month you might be able to experience it yourself, hint hint!

1.  Wall-to-wall carpet in the bedroom

I can’t say I am surprised, but this bedroom created by Lotta Agaton for an Australian home made the very top of the popular Instagram list this year.

And that’s all! I can’t blame you for making all these posts your top picks. I have a few more posts to share with you guys this year, so make sure to check back during the holidays. Until then, have a wonderful Christmas and I’ll see you back here when the food and drinks has settled. Enjoy!
