Following on part one of my Bungalow5 x Sofacompany Series, I wanted to share a bit more of the process, and a little sneak peek of the finished couch before the big reveal on Friday. In my opinion a couch needs three “must have” elements: superior comfort, good quality, and of course look amazing.
Creating the Bungalow Sofa started as an idea to create an extra spot for overnight guests, which is often a challenge when you live small, so superior comfort was very important to me. Firm enough for a sitting comfort and soft enough for a good night’s rest. It had to be a step up from a mattress on the floor and almost as comfy as a proper bed.
Sofacompany’s quality is great for what you pay for. You get a customized couch made for you at a pretty reasonable price. I wanted to create a simple couch, and even though it takes up a bit of space, it’s a three-seater, it still looks pretty light. Next up, I added the leather trim to emphasize the lines and I think it looks amazing – especially in a darker version. And for the fabric, I choose a darker herringbone wool, but of course, like always with Sofacompany, you can choose from their enormous range of different qualities and colors and customize the Bungalow Sofa so it suits you.
I am extremely happy with the result, and I cannot wait to show you all the final result and images up close ups end of the week, when it finally hits the stores worldwide.
