Christmas 2015: 24 things Santa should bring me #11

Every day until Christmas Eve (Dec. 24th), I will share one thing each day that I would love to see Santa bring me for Christmas. I am sure there are one or two things that you want too. Happy December 11th.

2015 was the year where I learn to drink tea. I still love my coffees, cortado that is, but there comes a point after 2-3 cups where I have enough and that is where good tea comes in. I have noticed that tea brands often use great packing, which I think is a nice add-on. Of course the tea needs to taste good as well, it is not all about the exterior.

I recently came across the Berlin based tea brand Paper & Tea. They are inspired by tea’s legacy throughout the ages as an agent of communication, creativity and culture. With this mindset, they interpret and promote the role of fine tea for a creative and fulfilling modern lifestyle. They sell both amazing tea, everything you need for the perfect cup of tea and great notebooks, papers and calendars.

Love this post, Allan. The picture got my attention as it’s one of my resolutions to get myself a proper matcha set with Chasen, Chawan and Chashaku (i.e. the bamboo whisk, bamboo tea ladle and tea bowl) to make having tea a real relaxing ritual over the weekend. Bags and tea eggs will be grand for quicker brews of course. Do you brew, sieve and whisk yourself?

I love you love it. I am super newbie to the whole tea thing, but I need to start the whole tea ceremony thing; whisk and all.
