Holiday – where to stay?

At last, summer has arrived in Denmark, so maybe my quest for a holiday down south was in vain, but then it’s good I have just booked a trip to New York. So the question is just, where do I stay?

Finding a hotel in New York is like finding a needle in a haystack, but fortunately there is good advice to be found. There are many sites where people report about their visits to various hotels around the world and one of them I often click into when I travel, like the last time I was in Berlin, is zoover.dk where there are reviews of more than 221,000 hotels, apartments, campsites, holiday parks, cruises, villas spread over 27,000 holiday destination, amazing right!

I’m pretty bad at trying new things, which is the same for all of us here at Bungalow5, eg. I often eat in the same places when I go out in Copenhagen and abroad, living in the same places when I visit a city more than once, shop the same places, etc. I hate to spend my hard earned money on disappointments (which I am probably not alone about), which is why I think sites like this are really useful, because it’s reviews by real people (reviewers are also real people, but you know what I mean) who have felt the hotel atmosphere on their own body, and of course you can have different meaning about what a good experience is and the receptionist can have a bad day, but if 10 people independently think that the hotel does not live up to their expectations, they probably does not live up to mine either.

I’m ready for 14 days in NY – more on that later – so please start giving me pointers!
