Fokus/Trend 2012

Værsgo, den første kommer her.

Katharine Hepburn sagde engang: ”If you obey the rules, you miss all the fun” – det er præcis det jeg vil frem til. Prøv noget nyt, noget uventet! Nye materialer, nye farver!

3 hot trends, 1 from each of us. What is hot in 2012? Here you go, the first one.

Basically, we all live almost identical, the Scandinavian style with white surfaces with light wood here and there. I really believe, as we have seen in many of our visits throughout the year, that it’s about adding quirky things to ones décor that triggers the imagination, silliness and challenges. Katharine Hepburn once said: “If you obey the Rules, you miss all the fun” – this is exactly what I want. Try something new, something unexpected! New materials, new colours! The Scandinavian style can easily be challenged and developed, but it does not happen if you keep painting your walls the same eggshell white you painted 2 years ago. I believe that we need to cultivate humour, fun and creativity – show who you are? Okay well, there are some people who just are beige (if you are one of them, then you probably haven’t read all the way down here anyway!). Try new furniture, colours and materials that do not really coordinate and create contrast!
