This is going to be one busy week, and I am all for it. I have makeovers to show you and I am heading to this season’s first fair – I am also visiting a few more hotels for my Copenhagen hotel guide and I have to swing by a very special apartment, but today, it’s going to be all about my bedroom.
In a season where it is not easy getting out of bed, especially on those Monday mornings, I wanted to give my bedroom a little makeover. My bedroom, well my entire apartment, is not easy to paint, its more or less one open space and full of weird angles and half walls. It made sense to only paint half of the wall behind the bed along with the half wall towards the staircase.
I teamed up with Sadolin Denmark to give my bedroom a makeover. I quickly decided on the color Dark Ocean from the Inspired collection, which btw they have now decided to call Dark Ocean by Bungalow5 (now that’s a first, having a paint color named after me), and thought that the best option for this room, was to give just half of the wall a coat of paint. To add a little drama to it all, I painted it, so it didn’t float with headboard and even added a picture just to push those OCD nerves out there. You are welcome.
The finishing touches I did with painting a small stool, a vase, and my side table in a bright sandy color, Cool Sand. Just to spark up the darker surroundings. It really is amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do to a room. Honestly, I am not a big fan of painting, but this seemed very manageable, especially because Sadolin paint is so easy to apply, merge together very well and covers the surface quickly – and I really love the result.
