How To Get Through December Stress-Free

There is no way around it, tomorrow is December 1st and Christmas is here sooner than you know it rather you want it or not. Lets get one things straight, this is the month of joy, so do not stress. Christmas should be a happy time, filled with play and warmth.

Make a list of things you would like to get done, e.g. buy presents, decorate, get a Christmas tree, bake cookies etc. I suggest you look at that list and get one thing done every day. Buying presents really doesn’t have to take days, if you are well prepared it really shouldn’t take you more than a couple of hours, even if you brave yourself out in real store and not only buy online (like me).

Planning is key. And I know that it just seems like there is no time left after long days of work, dragging yourself home in the dark rainy afternoons, cook dinner for the kids and so on. It just seems like getting everything done for Christmas alongside taking care of all the daily routines seems impossible. Just picture this when you are wrapping those present at midnight; the person that gets this present, will be so happy and think of you whenever he/she uses the gift. And I am sure that it will put a smile on your face every day stepping into a Christmas decorated house after long days at work.

So now, dig out a Christmas playlist on Spotify (there are SO many), sit down with a nice cup of warm tea, find inspiration in these wonderful images from Artilleriet and start making that list. Be realistic, just do one thing a day, set your mind to it and make it happen. I am sure you’ll make it.
