Happy new week, guys! How are you holding up? I must say I am kind of finding it all quite enjoyable, this slower pace of life I mean. I have been getting through my long to-do lists like never before and even been very structured with keeping up with my daily stretching and home workouts. I need to with all those carbs I’m eating these days. Also, can we just take a moment to breath in all that fresh, crisp, stunning spring weather we have right now. All that light makes me very happy. It really is amazing what a few rays of sun though the windows can do to ones mood? And speaking of great light, you are going to love todays cool townhouse renovation.
Respecting the Victorian charm and features of the original townhouse in Clapton, London based Daytrip Studio remodelled, restored and redesigned the four-storey townhouse with a refined, light and calm sensibility.
My favorite part of this renovation is how Daytrip Studio managed to effortlessly transform the basement into a light-filled lower ground kitchen and living room with a continuous polished concrete floor which spills out to the garden space. And that bespoke kitchen in Douglas fir and honed Evora marble is just beautifully crafted with honest simplicity.
With help from Sophie Pearce of Beton Brut and Laura Fulmine of Modern Art Hire the renovated townhouse is beautifully furnish and style with a great selection of antique, mid-century and contemporary pieces throughout.
