Monday Inspiration: 37/2014

//

Once again, Monday arrived way too fast after a busy weekend. So not so many introductory words today – here’s just what I’ve been looking at in the past week.

1. AUTUMN START WITH JUMBO CUP

Bungalow5 Monday Inspiration Spode

Nogen anbefalinger?

Okay, maybe the weather has been quite nice the past week, but I am not to be fooled and completely ready for the autumn season. My stock of tea has been renewed, and I could really open the season with a jumbo cup from English Spode and a few good series on Netflix. Any recommendations?

2. SCENTED CANDLES FROM & OTHER STORIES

Bungalow5 Monday Inspiration Scented candles and other stories

The candles are developed in collaboration with the New York-based parfumeur Jerome Epinette and should be in stores from mid-September. Price DKK 150 each. Maybe I should try? They sure look nice.

3. SVENSKT TENN 90 YEARS

Bungalow5 Monday Inspiration svenskt tenn 90 years

Svenskt Tenn has turned 90. Their story and approach to design and interior decoration fascinates me – maybe because we don’t have anything similar in Denmark? Now some of their designs finally moved in with me (and yes, some of it requires some time for savings), and it will certainly not be the last! Their nice magazine launched at the occasion of the birthday has landed in my mailbox – it can be purchased here – or you can browse for free online here.

4. SALUT BY MARIKEN STEEN/PAPER COLLECTIVE

Bungalow5 Monday Inspiration Paper Collective Salut 03 by Mariken Steen

Like!

The autumn collection from Paper Collective is soon available with many nice suggestions for the wall. The Salut posters by the Norwegian artist Mariken Steen caught my eye with their patterns and feminine colour universe. Mariken Steen has dedicated the Salut series for women battling breast cancer and for each sale 15% is donated to the Danish Cancer Society. Like!

5. BIRGER1962

Bungalow5 Monday Inspiration Birger1962

The Danish designer Malene Birger’s new brand BIRGER1962 has just launched its first décor collection at the international interior trade show Maison et Objet in Paris. The collection has a very international nature, and I could miss a little more Nordic simplicity. However, I have no trouble finding a few goodies that could easily be integrated at my place. I look forward to follow her future décor collections.
