As you know, I share my apartment with a good friend, however, the past year we rented out the spare room, but now it is empty – or actually, we used it for storage and clothes drying – so instead of finding a new roomie, we decided to make it into a proper guestroom. I always rely on my amazing friends when I travel; they are always so welcoming, letting me stay with them. So I wanted to have a room for them when they visit Copenhagen. I think actually my first visitor will be Em, in about a month. I am really trilled that I finally have a place that is big enough to host people, with a proper bed, so my guests doesn’t have to sleep on the couch.
Well, the guestroom is starting to fall into place, and finally it is starting to look nice and cosy in there. I teamed up with Danish Nordal for this makeover. They have pretty much supplied everything you see on the photos, except the bed! I wanted to create a room where my guest could relax on their own, unpack and unwind.
Nordal’s catalogue is humongous and it’s pretty easy to find something you like. It is raw, warm and kind of bohemian actually. I really love the contrasts you find throughout their collection. They call it “homes with attitude”, which I can totally relate too.
If you want to see the messy before room, you have to head over to the vlog, actually. I know it is in Danish only, but you’ll get the idea anyway I am sure.
