Old French Stone House with a Nordic Twist

Happy Tuesday. Just picked up Mr. LA in the airport, so now we are ready for a week with a full schedule of lots of dinners with friends and family… and a staycasion at one of Copenhagen’s new hotspot hotels. Before I wake him up for a well-deserved nap (that 14 hour flight is brutal), I have a home tour to share with you.

What would be better than a renovated old stone house in the middle of the cutest little town in Southern France surrounded by endless wine fields? Add a coffee and pastis every Sunday at the local marketplace and you pretty much got the life of Lone and Chris McCourt. The two have transformed the former cardinal house from the 1300 into a modern, French with a Nordic twist home.

You might recognize the kitchen, as it is by Vipp, which is the perfect contrast to all the wooden furniture, the old stone floors and all the moldings. I also love the Børge Mogensen chairs on that red tiled floor – and basically everywhere you look is another great lamp.

What do you think? Don’t you just love the modern kitchen in this old house?

Okay, I am out. Have a few more things to get done before I wake up Mr. LA for an afternoon walk… maybe I should bring him to the sea for a quick dip?
