I have driven some pretty cool cars this year; Audi TT, Ford Mustang and now also Porsche. Two different Porsches actually; the bigger Cayenne and the more compact Macan, both being SUVs and lets just get one thing straight – I do love a big car. The bigger the better is my philosophy in life… I mean cars.
I tested the Cayenne on a Thursday, the weather was amazing and I decided that it was a perfect day for a drive up the coast. So I updated my Facebook status, asking if anyone wanted to join me for a drive to Louisiana to see the Yayoi Kusama exhibition (on a side note, if you haven’t been yet, GO!). A lot of people wanted to join, of course. Not sure if it was my company or the fact that they could sit in a Porsche that attracted them?
The Cayenne fits perfect for the drive on the coast north of Copenhagen, it is not a rare sight here to see people driving Porsche. The white Cayenne is an old lady when we talk SUVs and Porsche, where the Macan is younger and a lot more attractive. Even though the Macan is smaller than the Cayenne, I like it more, contradicting myself I know, but I guess it’s both the interior and exterior design and the more intimate and black cabin. One thing I am not a fan of in any of the models, are the many, as in millions (okay, maybe exaggeration furthers the understanding a bit here), of buttons inside. It seems a bit overwhelming and somewhat out-dated. I would love to have seen it all merged on a big touch screen instead.
So now I have driven not only one Porsche, but two, all there is left is getting my hands on some of the cars Porsche is know for, any mans dream really; Cayman, Panamera, Boxster or of course, the new 911.
