Setting just the right table for Christmas Eve or a dinner in December can be tricky business. You don’t want to go to crazy Christmas cabaret; you want to keep it classy with a hint of Christmas. I joined forced with IKEA to show you how it can be done.
Instead of setting my big dining table, I decided to set the mood at the counter in my kitchen, to show you that you don’t have to go big to make it nice and cozy. I would always start with a clean, ironed tablecloth, which I think is a must for a special occasion. On top of the plates, I place a very simple decoration made with the napkin, basically, I just tired a not on it and add a little branch of fir – and then placed it on top of another napkin, so the guest don’t have to use the actually decoration. I added a few branches of fir and of course lights.
For extra decoration I placed a few smaller branches of different firs in glasses turned upside down.
