Smart and flexible, head to foot

One of the best things about living in one of the Nordic countries, is certainly the light – especially the next couple of months, where the days are just getting longer and longer. Its already up to 15 hours of daylight moving towards 17,5 hours on the longest day in mid June.

It might still be light in the late hours, but my living room is facing north, which means it tends to be a little darker than the rest of my apartment, even with the grand window. I like to refurnish from time to time, and this week I wanted to make the most of my window and add a new architectural lamp from Louis Poulsen to my favorite corner.

I have chosen the NJP lamp for its flexibility and its visual futuristic appearance. I like its slender subtle look – and the fact that its LED (this makes the light super soft and glare-free) just makes it even better.  The geometric lamp is designed by Japanese master nendo’s own Oki Sato, whose clear visual aesthetics goes hand in hand with the Scandinavian design style – and my living room.

    Hi Allan,
What a beautiful room. I can never get my throw rugs to look that good – they just look like a crumpled mess.

Thank you so much. Maybe I was just very lucky for this photo. 😉
