Out of the House: Michelberger Hotel

Last week I cheated you all for an out of the house and I had promised that I would show you the hotel I stayed at in Berlin, Michelberger Hotel – it is definitely worth sharing – so today you get two out of the house.

“The Michelberger Hotel. A place made by friends, for friends to come and stay and to feel at home at. A place that is as much a part of Berlin, as all the people who built it.”- that’s at least what it says on their website – and I must say I definitely felt among friends and I felt at home.

For only € 82 per night, I got a Cosy room with breakfast. A Cosy room is with a double bed, a fairly big shower and toilet and a small seating area – no more than that. But what you really need more? From the bed I had a delicious view over Berlin and the shower (could have been so much better if I had not stayed by myself!).

The hotel has a nice restaurant, I only had breakfast which was really delicious. Also, a large bar area that really felt like Berlin, morning, noon and night! All in all, I really recommend the hotel, however, you should just be aware that the hotel is not located in the city centre, but the train is running to the door and 10 minutes later you are in the middle of Berlin.
