Unpacked in New York City

Two days in NYC and my last days of summer in the US. You might think, didn’t he just go to New York, and the answer to that are yes, but this time, Samsung asked me to join for the launch of their new Galaxy Note8.

I honestly had no idea what to expect. All I knew was that I was going to be picked up in the airport and driven to the Hudson hotel. The launch was pretty spectacular witness by 100s of influencers and press people flown in from all over the world. The presentation was grand and so is the phone. I have been an iPhone user for many year now, and have actually considered many times to end our relationship, especially as we haven’t seen any major upgrade the past few years. It is really minor upgrades from 6 to 7. I am not convinced. That has certainly changed with my meeting with the Note8. Some might state that I am very receptive for a new phone, but I haven’t been this excited about new tech for many years.

A few of the feature I really dig. The camera. It can do so much more than I have seen before. Many features I haven’t even explored yet, but for one, it can take photos in the evening with limited light. I love the since and I really love the little pen, which is perfect for quick notes or being creative on your photos and stories on Instagram (or snap chat of course).

All phones comes with 64GB, which in itself is a lot, even for me, but you can add up to 256GB with inserting a SD card in the phone. Pretty smart thinking I think. So 320GB in total. Now that’s a lot of memory. Final feature I really like is Bixby. Bixby is Samsung’s Siri. And it works. It has 3000 pre-set commands and will quickly learn how you speak, so you do not need to be fluent and pronounce everything in correct American English. You can also learn it your own commands, which I think will be very helpful tool.

One thing is very certain, I am going to spend some time learning my new Note8 and I cannot wait to start sharing my new sharp photos on Instagram in the future.

I was invited by Samsung, which means they covered all expenses in relation to my trip. Thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. Thanks for supporting collaborations that I am excited about and that have kept Bungalow5’s doors open.
