Without further ado, its my great pleasure to reveal my own Video Highlights from Formland Spring 2019. Think of this video as a little treat to give you a sense of what goes down at the fair.
I have literally lived out of a suitcase the past two week and stayed at 5 different hotels, but as you know, it’s design fair season. Two down, one to go. Last week I went to the biggest of the Danish fairs, Formland. I was so presently surprised by all the great brands exhibiting there. It was my first return since my last visit in 2012, so honestly by expectations was not super high. Luckily there was no shortage of memorable projects and products being presented. I roamed the many halls, up and down every corridor, talked to as many people as possible, while exploring all the things on display.
Formland is mainly a fair for buyers to select what goes into their stores next season, but many brands have also (finally) discovered the importance of building up their stands so we, the bloggers, can get some images to present to you, the readers.
Sustainability seemed to be the biggest topic in everyone’s conversation, which of course made me super happy. A point I would like to make it even more into the boardrooms. We, the consumers, want it. And while many brands also make a big point out of telling us how great and sustainable their products are, they forget one thing in particular, the packaging. I so often see great sustainable products being delivered wrapped in plastic or covered in polystyrene, which I would like to be eliminated ASAP. Thank you, next.
What do you think is or should be the biggest concern in the design industry, when talking sustainability?
See you all again very, very soon!
Paid partnership with Formland. Thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. Thanks for supporting collaborations that I am excited about and that have kept Bungalow5’s doors open.
